In 2017, I produced a small body of street photography work which I was really proud of. Shot on Kodak TRI-X 400 black and white film using the Leica M7 and Voigtländer 35mm F1.7 Ultron prime lens, I eventually showed this series of photographs in my first photo gallery at a former film lab called Racquet Film in Brisbane City.

That’s ultimately what the last year has been about for me. I love how 35mm Portra 160 looks anyway so I don’t think it’ll be much of a loss.

It was interesting to see everyone getting riled up over my thoughts on the topic. At first it made me doubt what I had written, but then I just ignored them. Problem solved.

Joe had some downtime and dropped in for the first West End Camera Club meet up of the year. Along with Joe’s I made a number of Rolleiflex portraits and have been shooting a little more on it lately.
