A Good Day For Street Photography (2/2)
Here is the second round of photographs from yesterday.

Here is the second round of photographs from yesterday.
Today was a bit of a milestone in my street photography. Some videos from the likes of photographers Severin Koller and Eric Kim have really given me a boost in confidence with street photography, being less concerned about people's reactions and nailing the photographs.
This is the first of two posts from today.
Simon, Connor and I had breakfast this morning at Tazza Coffee in West End. We're going to be having monthly meet ups. Australia Leica Collective is just a small number of street photographers who shoot with Leica.
Breakfast with Simon and lunch with Connor and some street photography of Brisbane City mornings thrown in.
A few pictures from my third day with the Leica.
I’m now shooting on a Leica M Type 240 with a Summarit 35mm f/2.5 lens. The Fujifilm X100s has been such an inspiring camera for me and upgrading to a modern digital Leica has really cemented what photography is to me these days. It’s about taking pictures with an enjoyable camera, and the Leica M lives up to expectations and exceeds them.
The images have huge dynamic range and lots of detail but feel perfectly familiar using VSCO’s Ilford HP5+ processing.
These were shot with a mix of the Fuji X100s and Simon’s Leica M9-P with the 35mm Summicron F/2.
Great day in the city with friends.
I’ve been rather quiet on the photography front lately, mainly due to time off and relaxing for the last few weeks, though I’m dying to get back on the streets and take some more photographs.
When you’re not taking pictures, it’s easy to start thinking about gear. I’ve been fascinated with the Leica M Edition 60. All the mystery of shooting on film with the facility of digital files at the end of the day.
I think I need to get back to shooting before I get carried away…
Catch ups with Simon and James. All this overcast stormy weather doesn’t seem to inspire me to shoot street photography so I’m hoping it goes back to being sunny soon!
Went for a drive out with my brother and his girlfriend to the State Forest to get out of town for the day.
I played my first gig in about two years this weekend down at Port Macquarie with the rock ‘n roll band I used to be a part of.
Severin Koller, a street photographer living in Vienna has recently released his photo magazine and I’ve got my copy on the way.
His work is one of the biggest inspirations behind my own photo blog and street photography.
Publishing to this black and white blog this year has been immensely satisfying and I don’t think I’ll have any reason to stop for the foreseeable future, but throughout the process of shooting entirely in black and white, you lose awareness of the richness of colour that the photographs could have.
This is a hint of the colour of the places I’ve been this year with personal and street photography.
Saw The Royales play with Wolfmother last night.
